Little Ones in Kinder & Beyond

By Lizzy Russinko

At the end of Kindergarten, Little Ones are allowed to leave the classroom to go home with each child. When a Little One finally makes its way to a child’s home, it often becomes a true member of the family. Children may sew tiny outfits out of fabric and felt, craft accessories out of clay or wood, or build small houses and gardens where their Little One can rest, play, and live their best lives as fairies, knights, hockey players, hikers, students, musicians, pirates, and friends.

We invite our families to share photos of their Little Ones at home: tucked into a favorite corner, resting in a handmade bed, playing outside in a shelter made of sticks and leaves, or simply being loved. Together, these glimpses remind us that the Little Ones carry the warmth of the classroom into the heart of each home, weaving a thread of wonder that connects our whole community.
